Hello Strawberry cream filled chocolates,
I hope you’ve had an amazing week. 2 weeks ago, my friend Cris came for a visit! We had a lot of fun that afternoon. And when she left my house, she gave me a poem she’d stumbled upon a while ago. It’s a Dutch poem and I thought it was so beautiful, that I wanted to share it with you guys. Here’s the translation:
If I could start my life over,
I’d try to make more mistakes
I wouldn’t try to be so perfect
I’d relax more
I’d be more foolish
Actually, I would’ve taken less things so seriously
I’d be less clean,
take more risks.
I’d travel more
I’d see more sunsets
I’d climb more mountains
I’d swim more often in rivers
I’d go to places I’d never been
I’d eat more ice cream and less beans
I’d have more real problems, than imaginary ones
I was one of those people who lived in a smart and productive way,
each minute of their lives
Of course I had moments of happiness, but I’d go back to experience only good moments.
Because, if you haven’t noticed, that’s what life is about: Moments
Don’t miss it now.
I was one of those people who never went anywhere without a thermometer, a bag of hot water, an umbrella and a parachute.
If I’d start over, I’d travel lighter
If I could start my life over, I’d walk bare feet from the beginning of Spring to the end of Autumn.
I’d go more often in a carousel,
enjoy the sunrise,
play more often with the kids
If I’d start my life over, I’d pluck more daisies
But I am 85 and I’m going to die…
I just translated the poem, but I don’t think 85 is at the end of your life. You should check this wonderful video out (10 female role models who prove, it’s never too late), posted by the amazing Marie Forleo. I find it so inspiring to see that at several ages, you can still make a difference.
Hope you feel inspired and enjoyed this quick post.
Have a lovely week!
