Cup of Empties: February 2019

Hello crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies,

That’s right, I like mine crunchy! Ok, so I’m quite shocked… I was scrolling down my blog post list and I couldn’t find an Empties post in 2018! Like… WHAT? O_o How did that happen? I always keep all my empties and I’ve come to the realization, I didn’t use up that much product last year! I’ve been buying so much and trying out so many products that I haven’t taken the time to use up what I actually have… SHAME ON ME!

This is a huge reality check for me! I need to start using up my stuff. I have so many things lying around here. I’ll have to take some action! It’s not much that I have, but it’s what I used up in 2018… I aplogize in advance for the quality of the pictures… I usually take them in broad daylight. But Belgium has been lacking some sun rays these days, especially off work hours…

So here’s my cup of Empties.

RAINPHARMA Skincare Trial Set

This was one of my NYE gifts from last year. I quite enjoyed the products, which lasted me for over a month! I still have a mask from this line, which reminds me that I need to use it up!

If you’re interested, be sure to check out my Rainpharma posts:

These products are pricy, but I definitely would purchase the Dedicated Face Wash and Faithful Face Guard in full size.

Biotherm Time for a Miracle (Cleanser and Cream)

Another gift from last year’s NYE was a kit from Biotherm. I used these products in Taiwan and I found them to be very light weight and comfortable.

I was glad to be able to try these out, but they weren’t immediately products that my skin was craving. If you like lightweight products, I’d say: definitely try these out…

Laneige Fresh Calming Trial Kit (Cleanser, Essence & Toner)

I’ll be reviewing these products soon. But as you know, the Cleanser and Toner have already appeared in my Favorites list beginning of this year! I’ve already purchased these babies in big size and I’m obviously loving what it does for the skin! A review is on its way. The serum didn’t really impress me, so I won’t repurchase that one.

Love Beauty and Planet Coconut Shampoo

A shampoo that’s not only good for your hair, but also for the planet? I’m all for it! The one I got was a sample. The scent was divine, heavenly coconutty but not too sweet and quite fresh! The price tag is quite steep though for a drugstore shampoo, 8.99€ for 400ml. I usually don’t include shampoos in my empties but I did really like this one! I’ll probably buy it sometime!

Catrice Camouflage High Coverage Concealer

This product has been on my favorites list for a very long time… This product is watery but very high coverage and doesn’t crease into the fine lines. The only downside to it is that it’s a bit drying.

Too Faced Sketch Marker

I really enjoyed this product! It remained juicy for a very long time. 20€ for a liner is quite expensive though… I do want to try out another color some time. I did review this a while back, if you’d like to check it out.

Essence I Love Extreme Mascara Waterproof

I’ve gone through many tubes of this. This is definitely my favorite mascara from Essence. It’s a great and cheap base to layer on your lashes. I usually top it with another dramatic lash mascara. But I do love this one because it holds my curl really well!

Bioré Pore Cleanser

This was a nice scrubbing cleanser that I reviewed a while back. I won’t repurchase this, because it’s too drying for me. And I don’t like the idea of daily scrubbing my skin. I feel like that will thin out the skin too much and cause it to wrinkle sooner…

The Face Shop The Herb Day Cleansing Foam

I used this one up while I was in Singapore. I do like to try out cleansers and as mentioned before The Face Shop was the first Korean brand I had ever tried out. And I did like their cleansers. But like with a lot of cleansers, this one leaves the skin quite dry and itchy. So I won’t repurchase this. You can read my review here.

The Face Shop Rich Rice Cleansing Oil

Another product I used up in Singapore. I did enjoy this cleansing oil and it did what it was meant to do, without leaving the skin dry after rinsing. But as I mentioned in a recent post, I do prefer cleansing balms because an oil is quite runny… Hence I won’t repurchase this one, but it’s definitely a nice product. You can read the review here.

So this concludes my empties list. I can’t believe this is all that I’ve finished in 2018… I still have some products that I’m probably not going to finish and that I’m going to give to other people because they didn’t work for me. I’ll make a separate post for that, as they aren’t really empties…

Hope you enjoyed this little post. Have a lovely productive week and I’ll talk to you soon!
