Hello my Caramelized Pears,
It’s been a hot minute since I spoke about my trip in Taiwan. I initially posted my first day over there (which you can read here). I’m not sure whether I should post about the remaining 12 days. Let me know if that’s something you like to read about. But I figure as this is a Beauty Blog, it would be nice to share with you what I got there. Even though it’s been 5 months O_o, can’t believe time flies SO fast!!
Anyhows, here is what I:
86 Shop near my hotel
Mini Vaseline Lipbalm: I’ve been on the hunt for these for so long. I can’t get over how cute this little Vaseline tub is. I got one in Rose scent and one with Vanilla I think, which I gave to my mom. It is really very moisturizing!
Château Labiotte Wine Lip Tints: I had been hoping that I’d find some Labiotte products in Singapore. I knew I would find them at the 86 Shop. There were only 4 or 5 products, so of course I grabbed what I could haha :p. These are soo cute, I just had to get my hands on them! I didn’t know they had several sizes. So I was pretty excited when I saw the mini wine bottles :p.
Miss Hana Lasting Liquid Eyeliner Pen (in Dark Brown): My first Asian Eyeliner pen ever. So glad I picked this up. It was a favorite up until I used it up. I’ll need to get my hands on these again!
Banilo Co Clean It Zero: I was soooooo excited to finally try this product out. It wasn’t that expensive either. I paid 7-8€ or something. You know how much I love my Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm. It even was my first review ever!! I will write a review on this soon!
Neogen Gauze Peeling Wine: I first heard Jen from Meejmuse talk about this product. I was intrigued. It looked so heavy though so I was quite hesitant to get this product. But I don’t live to regret ;D, so I got it anyway!
Watsons:
Watsons is a drugstore chain that owns Kruidvat in Belgium and Holland. I’m always very curious to what they have in their assortment. I didn’t have much time to look around, but I did manage to pick up a couple of items.
Liese Braun Hairdye in 3R: Last time I bought an Asian hair dye, I was so happy with it. Usually in Europe I have to buy 2 boxes to cover all my hair and even so, they don’t seem to work on my black hair. I’d first need to bleach it and bla bla bla. No way I’d do that. But no matter how dark my hair is, using the Liese hairdye, I only need one box and it covers my hair completely (goodbye to the silvery grey hairs, hallelujah). I shall do an in depth review for you. But know, that ME LOVES it!! I don’t know the brand of the other product, but I thought that honey blond/brown was really pretty.
Etude House
There is no way I could pass an Etude House shop and not go in… Since I had one near my hotel, I went there several times. I must say though, I didn’t really exaggerate…
Red Energy Skincare Set: I figured it was time for me to say bye bye to the Collagen skincare line and take it to the next level, as I at that moment just turned 31 :p. I thought it would be good to start some wrinkle prevention. So I got this Red Energy set, which is said to do some lifting and firming, aging care and tone correction. It came with a full size Voluming Toner and Voluming Emulsion. With that I got 2 samples of serum and cream. It feels quite different from the Collagen line, so I’ll be writing a review in a couple of weeks.
Dear Darling Tint: I’m sorry you guy, but somehow I ripped off the label, so for the life of me, I don’t know which color it is. I can’t seem to find it on the website either…
Happy Essential Foam Collagen: I never have enough cleansers. My first Asian cleanser I ever bought was from Etude House. I really like the foamy texture. So naturally I picked one up.
Kissful Lip Care Scrub: I actually meant to pick the lip balm version of this. They used to look alike and I really really liked the lip balm. But I’ve also used the scrub in the past, which I really liked.
The Faceshop
The Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam Peach: This one I reviewed a while back. You can read it here.
Rice Water Rich Cleansing Oil: First cleansing oil ever! You can read all about it here.
Monocube Eye Shadow Glitter: I can’t resist glitter, you know that! I don’t want to resist it either. It looked so liquid, pure, shiny and awesome. Had to get my hands on these, no matter what!! I picked up RD01, BE01, PK03 and PK01.
Soho II: Jill Stuart
It was the last full day in Taiwan and I had some time to go shopping alone. I went to Soho where I saw a Jill Stuart counter. Their packaging is to die for and I’ve always wanted to get some of their products. When I got a closer look, I saw that it was around Urban Decay prices, which surprised me as I thought they were more expensive. So naturally I did pick up some products.
Mix Blush compact more colors: Such a luxurious compact!! I feel like a princess using this. The colors look lovely. I’ll definitely be playing with this before I do a review. Even though I’ve had it for some time now :p, but I do take some time to try out products.
Loose Blush: there was a special offer in which I could buy 2 loose blushes with 25% off. So naturally I had to get these.
Samples: We got plenty of samples at the Jill Stuart booth. You actually can choose the type of samples depending on the products you buy and the amount of money you spend.
Innisfree
Jeju Volcanic Pore Scrub Foam: I always love me a good scrub. And it’s a fun product to try out anyway. I haven’t tried much of Innisfree before, so I was pretty excited to try this product!
Sheet Masks
I also picked up lot’s of sheet masks from different stores and brands (for which I’ll write some future posts). I didn’t have more time to have a look at other products. So I kind of regret not having more time to have a look at other things. But I wouldn’t have had enough luggage room anyway because we had exactly the maximum weight in our luggage :p, without weighing beforehand! I’m kind of good at guessing how much I have in my luggage. You can call it a talent ;D.
You may think I’m a lunatic for buying all these products, can’t blame you. But I do use and love all these products. I also bought it with my hard earned money and I don’t live to regret anything in life. To each his own, right!
Anyways, hope you enjoyed reading this little post and I’ll talk to you soon!!
Love,
Sarah
