Blogger Recognition Award! Yay!

Hi Everyone,

The talented and beautiful Rachel from Beauty and the Ballroom has nominated me for the Blogger Recognition Award! I’m very honored that she chose, among others, me to nominate.

Before I started the blog, I was very hesitant because I was scared people wouldn’t like me or the stuff I wrote about. But my closest friends, Stéphanie and Helen encouraged me to go for it. I’m very happy I followed their advise. On my birthday, Helen gave me the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm as a gift. This became my first review (Check it here). The moment I started writing, the words flowed on my screen, like I have been doing this my entire life. Even though I started since May 2016, I don’t have a ton of followers. But I love writing about my passion so much, that that has never been my priority. I was content writing about beauty, because in a way, this allowed me to reach my family all over the world (Vietnam, US, the Netherlands…). It made me feel connected with them. However, since then I’ve discovered and interacted with many sweet and talented bloggers, that it has been an extra boost and motivation to continue writing these posts.

Like with anything in life, you should blog because you love what you write about. I think that with your passion you’ll get there. But of course that’s not the only thing you need to make your blog grow. You’ll read this on any post of Blogger Recognition Award, you have to engage with other bloggers, interact with them, comment on their posts… With a positive attitude, I think you can make many new friends who’ll follow you, because they genuinely like you and the content of your blog. Secondly, I think it is important to keep in mind: what’s in it for the reader? I always try to make my content as such, that it would help someone who’d read my post, especially when it comes down to reviews.
